Brief Description

Seattle-based Amplero is looking for a motivated, energetic, get-it-done Systems Administrator to join our team.  In this role, you will work closely with our internal teams to plan for and support day to day work environments and related infrastructure. This includes implementation, configuration, coordination, control, maintenance, troubleshooting, security, usage monitoring, documentation, planning and project management activities related to all aspects of the corporate landscape. You will work independently with a sound understanding of the interactions between hardware, operating system software and network operations and the administrative requirements to ensure an efficient, reliable, secure infrastructure. 

Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for uptime, security, backup, and performance of corporate/engineering network
  • Create, configure and troubleshoot user accounts in Active Directory
  • Manage Jamf and Intune/MDT for company end-point devices; automate common deployment tasks
  • Maintain on-site servers, firewalls, switches, Wi-Fi Access Points, NAS/SAN
  • Support corporate solution stack including Active Directory, Azure AD, Office 365, SSO, various cloud services
  • Onboard new employees; perform end user training; image, configure, and deploy user laptops and workstations
  • Triage and support all helpdesk support issues related to internal networks and assets
  • Own asset management, tracking, procurement, and forecasting; maintain relations with company vendors
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to configure and maintain all necessary work environments
  • Maintain office IT infrastructure, including conferencing equipment and auxiliary systems
  • Part of team that deploys and maintains Windows and Linux servers
  • Responsible for security of network and cloud services

  • Have administration experience with developer tools like JIRA, GitLab, Jenkins, and Confluence Wiki

  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skill—this position includes potential external customer interactions and requires you to collaborate with co-workers of diverse technical expertise

Experience that is a definite plus:

  • Experience with Tableau or other BI and reporting tools
  • Knowledge of corporate VPN systems, site-to-site VPNs, cloud networking
  • Exposure to docker, terraform, kubernetes, infrastructure-as-code concepts
  • Have experience supporting highly available, customer-facing services

Required education and training:

  • 3+ years industry experience, 1+ years as system administrator
  • Computer science degree or equivalent experience
