The Opportunity
For the right person, this is a dream job.  VICIS has developed the world’s most innovative football helmet and is now expanding into new sports and categories.  This high impact position will lead manufacturing operations as the company becomes a global leader in its space.
 
 
This resourceful leader will develop and implement manufacturing strategies that focus on scalable partnerships, systems and processes to support rapid growth. Achieving operational goals will require the successful candidate to work effectively across the COO staff which includes Supply Chain, Manufacturing/Sustaining Engineering, Quality and Program Management. This role will also work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Engineering and Finance to execute daily operations.

Core Accountabilities

    • Develop and implement a contract manufacturing strategy to support the company’s direction for global growth in multiple market segments.
    • Scale daily operations in a low-cost, high-quality manner in line with the VICIS culture, including engaging contract manufacturers for high-volume processes.
    • Grow, mentor and guide a small manufacturing operations team that supports the company revenue growth objectives with world class service levels.
    • Hire, develop and retain a highly talented employee base.
    • Manage the manufacturing key performance indicators and financial performance that deliver on the Company’s top operational goals.
    • Reporting to the COO, this leader will provide input into the company’s strategic operational decision making and deploy a scalable manufacturing plan over the long term.

Requirements

    • BS/BA degree required; Engineering and/or Master’s degree preferred.
    • 10+ years operational leadership experience in a multi-site manufacturing environment. Consumer goods industry experience is a plus.
    • Demonstrated track record of executing to KPI’s related to Build Plan effectiveness, Capacity Planning, Inventory Management, COGS, and On-Time Delivery (OTD).
    • Analytical thinker who can make swift decisions and quickly adapt to changes.
    • Skilled team leader with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Experience managing a contract manufacturer and 3PL provider; experience with top tier suppliers is a plus.
    • Experience in startup environments and/or in significant manufacturing expansions.
    • ERP system knowledge at a transactional level; SAP experience a plus.
    • Demonstrated experience participating in Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process; knowledge of Salesforce is a plus.
    • Knowledge of paint mixing and coating processes is a plus.
