The Opportunity
 
VICIS is seeking a Quality Engineer to support our core Operations. The Quality Engineer provides leadership and support to our production, reconditioning and receiving inspection programs.   This role will design and execute strategies to ensure quality, efficiency and customer satisfaction for both new and reconditioned products.

Core Accountabilities

    • Own and manage non-conformance handling for parts throughout the receiving and production cycle
    • Ensure that procedures are up-to-date and maintained
    • Ensure that all appropriate production personnel are quality-focused and trained
    • Own and manage all quality aspects of the inspection process, ensuring that both supplier and in-house inspections are correct and complete
    • Maintain supplier partnerships to ensure that they are an effective extension of production process, providing consistently excellent materials and services
    • Serve as an in-house expert in Good Manufacturing Practices, leading the entire team in focusing on quality processes and excellent results for our customers
    • Apply world class procedures to ensure professional, honest, and ethical practices at all times

Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of experience supporting products in the medical, consumer or sports protection fields – OR – 5+ years of experience in a Quality role
    • Experience and/or passion for sports preferred
    • Ability to succeed in a start-up environment
    • Must have experience working in an environment where concurrent development of discrete, consumer-oriented, mechanical, or electromechanical products is the norm, and demand flow manufacturing is employed
    • Experience reviewing and inspecting manufacturing products in accordance with company procedures and build instructions
    • Adherence to established manufacturing and material control policies and procedures in compliance with a quality system
    • Must be self-motivated to work on and manage projects while also participating in team efforts 
    • Demonstrated problem-solving skills with the ability to actively search for solutions using all available resources
