Release Coordinator at Owlet Baby Care

POSITION TITLE: Release Coordinator (Mobile App Release and Beta Testing Coordinator)

 LOCATION: Lehi, Utah

TYPE: Hourly

MIN. EXPERIENCE: None

PAY: $20/hour, 40 hours a week

Owlet is looking for a quality-focused Release Coordinator to work closely with our product managers, engineers, and QA teams to oversee the build and release process for the Owlet App. In this role, you will own the mobile app version release process, designing for speed and quality. You will report to the Product Manager of the Core Experience Mobile App Platform. You will promote continuous improvement in software product quality and reliability.  

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Help us understand how our current products are performing
  • Help us understand what new product features to build
  • Recruit and onboard Beta test customers to help us with our testing initiatives
  • Write and launch customer surveys for product teams
  • Facilitate and conduct user interviews with customers
  • Gather any additional feedback submitted by testers via bug submissions, suggestions, discussion forum topics, or journal entries. (This is a crucial part of the job as the success of the project is dependent on the feedback coming in and circulating through the organization.)
  • Analyze data and share trends and insights with product teams
  • Learn how to correctly frame questions, gather data, and present results in a concise story
  • Interface with customer support leaders and customers to find the root cause of issues
  • Maintain formal release records to track release content and history
  • Ensure releases have passed all required checks and approvals leading up to live deployment, and effectively communicate approved exceptions to all necessary parties
  • Work closely with multiple teams on identifying and resolving risks related to releases
  • Work with QA to establish and maintain bug triage process, determine and prioritize must-fix issues for release and work with appropriate team members to ensure bug fixes happen as planned

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Hard-working self-starter capable of concurrently running multiple projects
  • Excellent analytical skills; experience conducting surveys and analyzing, understanding, and synthesizing key takeaways from survey data preferred
  • Ability to communicate complicated concepts
  • Detail-orientation with an ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Interest in working in an agile / scrum software development environment
  • Interest in learning new skills and willing to ask questions
  • Genuinely curious about our customers
