Digital Marketing Manager - Growth at Remitly

Remitly is looking to expand our International (INTL) team bringing in a talented app marketer to help grow and manage our paid app marketing programs. We have seen strong growth scaling our paid app marketing efforts and are looking for someone with deep paid app marketing experience, ideally from an app-first company, to join the team and continue to drive this growth. 

We are looking for someone who has experience acquiring valuable customers at scale through app marketing campaign management including Google App Campaigns (formerly UAC campaigns) and Programmatic. The successful candidate will be able to thrive in a fast- paced, data first environment whilst working collaboratively with other business stakeholders. A performance focused, analytical mind-set and desire to innovate in the space will be essential to this role.

This position will be based in London and you’ll be reporting into the Head of Digital Marketing for INTL, working together to deliver our digital marketing programs. As a member of the INTL team, who oversee all regions globally outside of the US, you’ll be working closely with; our Go To Market (GTM) team, analytics, regional management and product teams. You’ll also work closely with the growth team and marketing platform teams in Seattle who own the digital marketing programs for North America, collaborating and aligning our strategies.

Essential Functions:

  • You will be responsible for managing and optimising all paid app activity across all platforms, including Google App Campaigns (formerly UAC campaigns)  & Programmatic for the INTL business within LTV and CAC targets
  • Identify new marketing opportunities and develop and execute test plans for app programs. Develop innovation through our marketing activity and ensure we continue to be the first one test available alpha/beta products
  • Balance budgets across geographies, platforms and tactics while optimising spend
  • Work closely with Head of Digital Marketing and Director of GTM to define paid app strategy for the INTL business
  • Work in close partnership with app marketing peers in the Growth team in Seattle to ensure efficiency and share of learnings
  • Set and hit aggressive goals on growth and efficiency by being a data-driven marketer
  • Build new campaigns as Remitly grows to serve new countries and products.
  • Gather and analyse data for regular reporting. Synthesise data from a wide variety of sources into concise, actionable insights and recommendations
  • Partner with Remitly’s other marketing, creative, product, and engineering teams to help our paid programs scale
  • Desire to work hands-on in a performance based, analytically driven, fast-paced environment, while also working, collaborating, and providing strategic direction across various technical and creative teams

What you should possess:

  • Experience managing app based marketing campaigns, ideally across multiple geographies and languages
  • Hands on experience managing Google App Campaigns (formerly UAC campaigns)
  • Experience managing and growing Programmatic programs across a variety of ad networks
  • At least 2 years experience working in an app first business
  • Have worked in a high growth environment, preferably at a startup or scale up business
  • Knowledge of mobile attribution technology
  • Ample knowledge about the mobile advertising space and the mobile app market
  • Some ASO experience would be beneficial
  • An analytical and metrics-driven work style. You break down questions and concerns methodically to solve problems in an organised way
  • Proficiency with analytics tools and web traffic reporting
  • Understanding A/B testing to optimise channels for best results
  • Experience with customer segmentation, profiling, and targeting
  • Solid interpersonal skills and the ability to apply them externally, internally, at all levels
  • High energy; a can-do attitude with the willingness to do what it takes to get things done
  • A desire to understand the customer and what will resonate with them
  • Experience partnering with creative teams, marketing, product, and technology teams to build and utilise tools to enable marketing at scale
