CRM & Referrals Lead at Remitly

Remitly is looking to hire a strong marketing lead focused on our International CRM and Referrals channels. You will focus on executing the day to day operations of our core CRM channels including email, app push, and in-app messaging to drive incremental value. You will also help grow our Referrals channel, a key source of customer acquisition.

The ideal candidate will have experience driving CRM channels across multiple geographies and languages. Understanding the customer journey and how to deliver the right message at the right time will be key.

This position will be based in London reporting to the Director, Go To Market but deeply integrated with the Lifecycle and Referrals team at the Seattle HQ. Onboarding will be remote as all roles are working from home due to the current situation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute communications across multiple channels including email, push, in-app messages, SMS, and referral program, ensuring flawless campaign set up
  • Own reporting for campaign performance including analysis of multivariate tests, reporting on specific campaign performance by region, and compiling campaign performance for creative reviews 
  • Help drive improvements of key channel metrics including activation and early lifecycle engagement 
  • Own the English-language copywriting of customer communications and partner with our Design and Localisation teams for any needed assets and and translations
  • Develop and build an INTL marketing calendar of key campaigns and promotions to drive customer activation and engagement across key markets and audiences
  • Liaise with the wider Go-to-Market and Business Management teams to deliver relevant customer communications (partner, pricing, and product updates)
  • Build an experimentation backlog and execute creative and frequency tests to improve channel performance
  • Use JIRA and Workamajig to manage projects through the pipeline and track progress to ensure all campaigns are on schedule 
  • Partner closely with the North American Lifecycle team to ensure coordination of global programs and initiatives
  • Stay on top of CRM industry trends and recommend new opportunities and tools for improving our programs

Skills, experience and knowledge required to be successful in this role:

  • 2-4 years’ experience building emails, push and mobile campaigns in a high growth global or pan-european tech/e-commerce company. 
  • Able to develop and build complex campaigns and segments.  Braze CRM platform experience is a big plus.
  • Data driven.​ The ability to think strategically and develop comprehensive, data-driven plans. Enjoys problem-solving.
  • Strong project management and execution abilities. You will build and develop campaign plans, tracking against key milestones and aligning all resources to get it over the finish line.
  • Highly organised.​ Meticulous attention to detail. Able to prioritise and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Motivated and self-driven​. Has initiative and takes ownership of scope without direct guidance. The ability to work independently is essential. Someone who is energetic, nimble and brings expertise to the team.
  • Team player. ​Strong collaboration and communication skills. Ability to work cross-functionally with a wide variety of stakeholders.
  • Strong English writing ability is a must, additional languages a plus
  • Highly analytical and data driven. Working knowledge of SQL a plus
