Director of IT at Owlet Baby Care

The Director of IT position will lead strategy, goal setting, and implementation of a world-class IT infrastructure. This role will be focused on managing Owlet’s business systems, building and maintaining a strong foundation to enable Owlet’s continued growth and global expansion, and creating a process to maintain all systems. This role also works cross-functionally to understand the needs of the department owners and how all systems will tie back together.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee IT operations, supervise systems, and 3rd party providers
  • Develop, manage, and track the IT department's annual budget
  • Develop strategy as it relates to the organization's IT infrastructure (computer and information systems, security, communication systems)
  • Develop and rollout a unified BI tool to track and report business performance
  • Consult senior-level stakeholders across the entire organization to identify business and technology needs and to optimize the use of information technology
  • Create Framework to monitor Owlet’s systems to understand key stress points and install checks to know when updates/upgrades are needed
  • Will play a key role in identifying, implementing and integrating systems solutions and processes so as to improve business and operational processes, reduce costs and improve business KPI’s.
  • Serve as IT lead for key systems including Netsuite, Zendesk, Jira, ETQ, and middleware.
  • Manage 3rd party software licensing
  • Manage 3rd party workstation and helpdesk provider

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Forward-thinker and self-starter who can follow directions but will also go the extra step
  • Experienced managing and improving ERP, CRM, and project mgmt systems.
  • Broad understanding of business needs and ability to connect with senior leadership to understand organizational needs.
  • Proactive leader willing to break paradigms and work creatively
  • Experience gathering requirements and implementing BI tool such as Domo, Power BI, or Tableau.
  • Proven track record in managing IT organization in rapidly growing and dynamic business environment
  • Work with relational databases such a MySql and Sql Server is a plus
  • Undergraduate degree in relevant area; advanced degrees welcome
  • Proven ability to multi-task and think critically
  • Able to manage time effectively and have strong work and personal code of ethics
  • Ability to work effectively with senior management
  • 5-10 years of experience in related fields
