Social Media Marketing Manager (Edpresso) at Educative

Edpresso features questions and answers on a wide range of topics in software development. We welcome professional and enthusiast developers to contribute Edpresso shots. Our main goal at Edpresso is to provide a platform for developers, at every level, to learn and share knowledge in a comfortable, accepting space.

We're looking for someone who is passionate about programming topics and excited about Edpresso’s potential to build a collaborative community. We're still early as a product and you'll have a great opportunity to shape the role.

You’ll start with gaining a deep understanding of our users and contributors: Who are they? How do they use Edpresso shots? What other topics would they benefit from? What are they unhappy with? You’ll then take those insights and use them to create a program to help our users and contributors grow from being individual users who Edpresso to being part of an engaged community. To do this you will create events, content, and other forms of outreach.

What you'll be doing:
Community management

  • Drive awareness about Edpresso within online communities.
  • Produce content (videos, blog posts, social media posts, etc.) to educate and inspire Edpresso users and contributors
  • Identify and engage strategic organizations, events and activities to host

Edpresso competitions

  • Build relationships with strategic organizations and event organizers to encourage continued partnership with Edpresso

Social media management

  • Be an advocate on Edpresso Twitter and Slack channel, engaging in dialogues and answering questions
  • Develop Edpresso Twitter editorial calendar to reach potential and current Edpresso users and contributors
  • Analyze key metrics and tweak strategy as needed.

What you'll bring along:

  • University diploma
  • Experience managing social media programs (ideally for technical audiences)
  • Passion and proven track record for building communities
  • General knowledge of programming topics
  • Clear communication skills to different internal and external audiences in both written and verbal mediums
  • Development experience is a plus, but not required
