Senior Director, Healthcare Product and Program Management at Owlet Baby Care

Owlet is searching for an energetic and experienced Senior Director, Healthcare Product and Program Management to lead Product Strategy and Program Execution for its Healthcare division as it embarks on an aggressive plan to grow in the healthcare space. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in the medical device and healthcare IT markets driving the development and delivery of hardware and software products, and the launch of programs.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    • Program Management
      • Lead a team of Project and Program Managers to execute various development and implementation efforts
      • Manage resource allocation between competing priorities according to business needs and execution plan
      • Provide proper levels of communication to all stakeholders
      • Develop a partnership with the Marketing and Engineering Team and associated functions (e.g. quality, regulatory, operations, etc.) to deliver products, services, and initiatives effectively on time and on budget
    • Product Management
      • Lead a team of Product Managers to define and manage various product and service offerings to implement the company’s vision in the Healthcare space
      • Evaluate opportunities against potential return and alignment to company vision to initiate projects/programs
      • Provide proper levels of communication to all stakeholders
      • Oversee Market Release and Sales Enablement process
      • Develop a partnership with Sales channels, Service organization, and associated functions to ensure that offerings are delivered effectively with all required enablers
      • Ensure that customer feedback and market dynamics (both in the competitive marketplace as well as technology enablers) are considered as input/feedback to the product roadmap

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • 10 years of Program/Project Management experience (preferably in medical device or healthcare IT industries).
  • 10 years of Product Management experience (preferably in the medical device industries).
  • Minimum 5 years proven track record of leading engineering teams (SW & HW) 
  • Experience developing and releasing medical products worldwide under a range of regulatory structures
  • Experience with patient monitoring technologies
  • Experience with healthcare IT platforms, both in-patient and remote/telehealth
  • Possesses advanced oral and written communication skills. 
  • An individual who subscribes to the idea of Servant Leadership being a core principle of their interactions with the teams they lead

  • Inquisitive - Not afraid to ask questions to have a better understanding; likewise, a facilitator of inquisitiveness, supports the team in asking questions in order to arrive at the best solution
