Packaging Designer at Owlet Baby Care
Lehi, UT, US / Remote
Owlet’s Team is searching for a driven, experienced, and innovative Packaging Designer to be a part of a growing design group. This role plays an integral part in all aspects of consumer packaging design for our company and will concept and execute design for product packaging. This role will determine the holistic packaging direction for the brand in concert with the Product and Brand Marketing teams. This role also consults on all aspects of packaging and in-store shopping experience including unboxing, shelf sets and displays. The ideal candidate has a firm grasp of print production processes, proofing, finishes and color matching, This person will be enthusiastic, creative and able to run multiple projects at once, working with a project manager to juggle lead times and revision rounds.   • Develop holistic packaging language and direction across our entire product line
  • Concept and execute unique and well-crafted packaging designs
  • Populate die-lines and manage versioning and localizations
  • Collaborate with Brand team to interpret brand standards for packaging executions
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and project managers to meet project needs and timelines
  • Coordinate with Design team to maintain consistent UX 
  • Create digital and physical packaging mockups
  • Recommend spot colors, finishes and effects 
  • Image retouching and color balancing
  • Review digital and offset proofs for quality and consistency
  • Create concepts for new product launches and consult on packaging structure in development
  • Prepress art files for print following printer guidelines



  • BFA/BS degree graphic design, industrial design or relevant field
  • 5-8+ years of experience in the related industry
  • Mastery of Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.)
  • Understanding of print processes and file prep for print
  • Experience reviewing physical proofs
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
  • High aesthetic and typographic sensitivity and attention to detail
  • Track record of leading projects from concept to commercialization
  • Outstanding leadership and organization skills
  • On press experience a plus
  • Experience in CAD, SolidWorks or Fusion 360 a plus
