Are you a Lead, Principal Product Manager or Director of Product looking to take your career to the next level? We are seeking a creative product leader (we are flexible on title) who thrives as a player/coach and wants a role with a lot of freedom to make a big impact.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will develop Ripl’s overarching product strategy. There is plenty of room to be creative and forward-thinking. The joy you find in the loop of envision, evaluate, create, analyze, learn and repeat, is the flywheel powering your approach to product. With your prior exposure to content creation, marketing and a passion for how to make these work for small businesses, you have a rich palate with which to craft!

This role might be for you if:

  • You develop a strong understanding of the market, competition and how your products can differentiate to be successful
  • You trust your intuition and empathy for customers and have guided consumer insights efforts in the past
  • You have had significant product strategy responsibilities in mobile app, content creation, advertising, or ecommerce business with multiple successes
  • You gather input and ideas from all sources, and have worked closely with marketing in the past to implement features to drive growth and engagement
  • You enjoy working from customer insight and concept through launch
  • You have a strong technical understanding and can work closely with engineering to give appropriate guidance with implementation decisions and tradeoffs
  • You are savvy with Social Media Marketing and understand the nuances of both paid and organic content
  • You have led successful product teams built on best-practices
  • You have worked closely with or managed UI/UX talent
  • You are known for identifying and working as the champion for new high-value features

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and drive overall product strategy
  • Develop and coach a small team of Product Managers and UI/UX Designers who have clear areas of ownership and are empowered to drive results
  • Manage the Product Overall Roadmap in coordination with Marketing and Engineering team members, helping to make prioritization decisions against Ripl’s many opportunities
  • Develop a deep understanding of the competition and market landscape to lead Ripl’s innovation agenda, enhancing Ripl’s key differentiators
  • Define & execute qualitative and quantitative customer research
  • Ensure insights from our content and marketing teams about our own social media marketing and advertising efforts are used to elevate our product innovation

Skills & Qualifications

  • Leadership experience with Product and/or Program Management teams (5+ years)
  • Social Media Marketing channels and content -- strong understanding of the content forms and types that work best on social media, particularly for business marketing, promotion, lead-generation, and CRM purposes
  • Subscription services leadership experience -- either for consumer service or small/medium business software tool
  • Experience with mobile and web/browser-based applications
  • Proficiency with forecasting and Business Intelligence analytics and charting tools such as Amplitude, Mode, Excel
