About the Role:

We're searching for a Director of Learning & Development to join Remitly's People team, reporting to our EVP, People. You will lead the strategy and implementation of our talent development function and learning programs with a primary emphasis on individual and management development. You will architect the framework and deliver talent solutions to build the capability of our people as they develop their ability to live into our Remitly values and scale with company growth. Your talent solutions will be uniquely Remitly and integrated with our diversity, equity and inclusion commitment and programs.

You Will:

  • Create the strategy and roadmap to deliver on a learning and development agenda that is aligned with the business
  • Evaluate, design and execute engaging approaches to learning and growth in partnership with HRBPs, DEI Director, and other company leaders
  • You will set direction and manage instructional development programs that allow people to learn by doing, learn through others, and learn through training
  • Optimize for creative learning experiences that are engaging, interactive, and aligned to specific learning needs and paths
  • You will partner with our job family guild leaders to establish and revise competency and career ladders while advising on how to best create development pathways
  • You will automate initiatives where possible and scale based on demand and business growth
  • Consume the output of our Talent Planning and Employee Engagement processes to build priorities for development
  • Build management programs to create great managers and leaders who inspire and prepare their people to have incredible personal and business impact
  • Deliver compelling learning opportunities that develop managers into inclusive leaders
  • Measure learning and development effectiveness and the impact of programs on the business and employee engagement

You Have:

  • 10+ years of increasingly responsible business roles, including L&D, Human Resources, and Talent Management
  • Alignment to our mission and values
  • Experience designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating learning programs with skills in assessing and measuring effectiveness in technical companies with virtual and distributed teams
  • You manage process, projects and multiple priorities seamlessly
  • You empathetically communicate with a variety of partners and influence senior leaders
  • Experience building internal and external interpersonal business relationships
  • You operate well independently and as part of a collaborative global team navigating from the strategic to direct hands-on delivery
  • Successful team building and team leadership experience
  • Budgeting, forecasting, and providing concise analyses of learning programs and investments
  • Bachelor's degree; Masters a bonus in I/O Psychology, Education, OD, or similar discipline
