The IDC Controller will report to the Assistant Corporate Controller, and work closely with the Corporate Controller, Director of Revenue Accounting, and the FP&A teams in supporting the monthly and quarterly close processes for a high growth cloud security company headquartered in San Francisco.. This is a highly visible and critical role that owns the Indian entity close and statutory reporting and supports the North America and international entities accounting operations and close processes. This role will be based in Hyderabad, India, and will work remotely during the pandemic, and in a combination of onsite and remote afterwards.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
●Manage the monthly and quarterly close process, including the timely completion and review of journal
entries and account reconciliations of the Indian subsidiary.
●Manage the statutory reporting/audit of the subsidiary.
●Manage Indian tax and compliance and work with external auditors when needed to ensure timely and
accurate reporting of financial information.
●Establish and document accounting policies and procedures in the Indian entity accounting close process
and work with cross functional leaders to identify process improvement opportunities; ensure the processes
and procedures are in accordance with US GAAP, India GAAP, and Lookout’s overall policies.
●Mentor and develop the India accounting team; effectively communicate expectations and support the team
to succeed in the long term.
North America and International Accounting Operations
●Manage the preparation of assigned account reconciliations of North America and international entities, as
●Manage and process US and Canada entities Accounts Payable, Expense Reports including resolving
●Responsible for user provisioning across various finance systems
●Streamline and build out operational accounting and other administrative processes and policies as needed.
●Support the company’s interim review and annual audit under US GAAP.
●Identifying resource gaps and scale the accounting team.
●Participate in ad hoc projects including system optimization and implementation.
●12-15 years of accounting experience
●Senior management experience required
●Indian CPA required (US CPA Certification, a plus)
●SaaS industry experience
At least six (6) years of leadership experience managing accounting close, preferably in a publicly traded company.
Previous experience in a national public accounting firm or leading a Center of Excellence (COE) is highly
CPA license preferred.
●Strong MS Excel experience (use of pivot tables)
●Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
●Experience in preparing and reviewing corporate and payroll tax filings
●Experience with general ledger functions and the month end/year end close process
