Senior UX Researcher at Boundless
Remote / United States of America

Boundless is a team of immigrants and experts who have struggled through the complex, high-stakes U.S. immigration system. We are building customer-centric experiences to dramatically simplify it, becoming the default partner for all families through their entire immigration journey and their first ten years of life in a new country. 

We are looking for a Senior UX Researcher to help us understand our users’ diverse set of immigration needs and experiences. Everything we do starts with a customer problem; you’ll help us understand those problems so we can expand the number of customers Boundless serves and dramatically improve our service. You’ll also be instrumental in developing what it means to build product at Boundless through a culture of feedback, kindness, and a deep desire to be our best selves.

In this role, you will:

  • Explore the complexities of immigration space to dramatically simplify it
  • Partner with designers, product managers, and stakeholders to identify open questions
  • Plan, manage, and run research studies to explore those questions
  • Prioritize research needs across multiple areas to focus on highest impact
  • Ensure impact by delivering actionable insights and opportunities
  • Communicate research findings effectively to the rest of the organization, evolving Boundless’s understanding of users
  • Enable product managers and designers to make insight-driven decisions, to prioritize in the face of constraints, and to gauge the impact of their work
  • Establish the research discipline at Boundless, evangelizing research practices

We are looking for:

  • 5+ years of experience as a researcher in the digital product space
  • Experience conducting complex research using a variety of methodologies, with expertise in qualitative research
  • Ability to devise flexible and scrappy research methodologies, tailored to the needs and constraints of the project
  • Ability to deliver insights that impact product strategies and roadmaps
  • A strong collaborator with experience bringing cross-functional stakeholders into the research process
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, wielded effectively with customers and colleagues
  • A background in anthropology, sociology, or ethnography is an added benefit
