Are you an intellectually curious marketer who loves learning new things, uncovering opportunities, and investigating solutions? As the leader of our emerging social media program, you’ll balance your passion for those things with the professional responsibility to collaborate across the organization as we build, implement, and optimize our online presence in social media channels, forums, groups and communities. This role isn’t for Twitter fanatics– it’s a fantastic opportunity for those looking to build a broader digital presence for our quickly scaling start-up empowering software engineers across the world.
You’ll take our brand identity and guidelines and push the elements of design and messaging to deliver compelling, engaging content to a growing audience of friends and followers. You’ll know when your content rocks and when it doesn’t. More importantly, you’ll share why/how with a team of marketers committed to rapid innovation and data driven insights.
This role will work closely with our marketing team, author acquisition team, HR, and Edpresso (our community-driven) forum to share technical knowledge to define and execute large-scale campaigns.
Work with the marketing department and content team to develop thematic blog content that supports marketing initiatives and voice in market.
Uncover new opportunities to publish our voice– research technology and computer language forums and communities, then contribute to conversations in those communities that help create awareness of our organization and our mission.
Drive our conversation strategy and calendar– help us organize and plan the optimum number of organic posts. Measure your success (and shortcomings!) and then optimize your plans accordingly.
Track key performance indicators and drive discussions about your business results.
Monitor key social media channels and escalate service and support issues.
Manage the creation of creative images and work with designers to uplevel our online presence. You’re more than a strategist, you’ll build the content, too!
Monitor Educative competitors and share opportunities for us to learn from their campaigns.
Demonstrated leadership and results in social media; you might be asked to share samples of proven social media campaigns.
At least 3 years of relevant experience working with social media in either a B2C or B2B company.
This is a communications role. Excellent communication and presentation skills are mandatory. We’re looking for creative and innovative thinkers with great attitudes and a “can do” spirit.
