Clinical Project Manager at Owlet Baby Care


Owlet's Clinical Department is searching for an energetic and experienced Clinical Project Manager to lead a cross-functional team in the oversight and execution of internal and external clinical trials across Owlet’s line of innovative devices in the maternal and baby care markets. The ideal candidate has a strong background in clinical research and study management and the ability to use their expertise to drive study execution and oversee clinical trials from start-up to close-out.


Primary Responsibilities: 

Servant Leader - Empowers team to make decisions, improvements and use best practices 

Roadblock clearer - Resolves impediments/conflicts and escalates when needed

Resource facilitator - Works cross-functionally to ensure resourcing is prioritized 

Process manager - Helps the team define and refine best practices 

Coach/facilitator - Mentors cross-functional team members of effective report 

Communicator - Reports and communicates project progress and needs within and across teams


You will: 

Own the execution of assigned clinical studies and their deliverables against project schedules (mix of internally and externally resourced projects)

Closely coordinate and communicate with cross functional teams (Engineering, Regulatory/Quality teams, Consultants, Notified Bodies, etc.). 

Manage clinical study plans with Clinical Program Manager, external CROs, and host sites to ensure execution of clinical trials follow ICH GCP, company SOPs, project timelines, program objectives and budgets. 

Contribute to the preparation of study protocols, informed consents, case report forms, and study support documents. 

Provide effective levels of communication to all stakeholders. 

Coordinate with product and operations teams to ensure resources are properly allocated and available.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

Extensive experience in clinical trial management in both organizational and operational settings 

Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) level of qualification in life sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing or equivalent combination of education and experience 

Experience in medical device trials is preferred (not required) 

Strong knowledge of Good Clinical Practice/ICH guidelines and other applicable regulatory requirements

5+ years of Clinical Research experience 2+ years of Clinical Trial/Project/Program management experience in industry sponsored studies 

Experience managing relationships with internal cross-functional teams, external vendors, CROs, and investigators 

Possesses advanced oral and written communication skills
