About the Role:

Establish and maintain Infrastructure and IT application architecture in a multi-vendor cloud ecosystem that supports Remitly strategic goals. Lead the creation of a technology framework and provided technical leadership to support the IT infrastructure projects in cloud computing and automation endeavors, with a focus on the design of systems and services that are scalable.

You Will:

• You will report to the IT Manager, IT Infrastructure.
• Lead high-availability and fault-tolerant enterprise and web-scale software deployments in the public cloud.
• Advise IT leadership about cloud best practices and implement such practices the extend the infrastructure of the company.
• Ensure that important applications are designed and optimized for high availability and disaster recovery in the cloud.
• Explore new cloud applications, hardware, and software.
• Maintain an up-to-date understanding of cloud architecture, transition strategies, and computing and technology systems.
• Maintain the definition and documentation of architectural standards, reference architectures, processes, and operating models.
• Develop high-level architecture design documents to facilitate the integration of in-house development projects and Vendor-based applications within the existing enterprise architecture.

You Have:

• 4+ years of experience as a systems administrator or similar positions
• Experience with a high-level scripting language (PowerShell, Go, JavaScript).
• Experience with network infrastructure and network hardware(experience with Aruba and Sonicwall is desirable).
• Built integrations for web applications using REST APIs.
• Managed employees' identity lifecycle using Okta (or other IdP), and MS Active Directory
• Administered Windows and Linux servers, in both on-premise and cloud environments(AWS experience is desirable).
• Worked with other technical teams to document and support business rules and system operating procedures.
• Excellent English verbal and written skills.
