About the role


We are looking for a UX designer to join as we innovate the digital payments space, making the complex seem simple. You will be involved in all the different phases of product development from brainstorming to working closely with product management and engineering to deliver innovative solutions to our users. As a UI/UX designer, you will own the Hola Cash shopping experience and design great customer experiences (user interfaces, wireframes, prototypes, etc) in a fast paced environment. We strongly believe in delivering fast, and iterating even faster.


UX Designer Duties and Responsibilities


  • Understand product specifications and user behavior
  • Keep abreast of competitor products and industry trends
  • Researches user perception to identify problems
  • Conduct concept and usability testing and gather feedback
  • Digest and analyze data in order to make UX proposals and decisions
  • Define the right interaction model and evaluate its success
  • Find creative ways to solve UX problems (e.g. usability, findability)
  • Work with UI designers to implement attractive designs
  • Communicate design ideas and prototypes to developers
  • Develop wireframes and prototypes around customer needs
  • Creates user flows, wireframes, customer journeys, prototypes and test solutions, and being able on measuring success on solutions


UX Designer Skills and Qualifications


  • Fluency in Spanish and English
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience in mobile and web products
  • Demonstrated capacity to get the data you need and translate it into actionable insights
  • Self driven to work across team in driving initiatives to completion and solicit feedback
  • Ability to maintain a keen attention to detail, multitask and focused in results and enjoys a startup hyper growth environment
  • Team player who collaborates well with others
  • Proficient in design software (Adobe XD, Photoshop, Sketch, Figma)
  • Familiarity with interaction design and information architecture
  • Sincere empathy for the customer and a commitment to delving deep into the challenges they present or experience
  • Strong understanding of the financial services landscape, and products
  • User-centric approach when designing and prototyping UX solutions
