About the Role:

We are evolving existing products and developing a new financial product for customers in emerging markets. We are looking for a full-stack, mixed-methods product (UX) researcher to lead this research initiative. This is a Senior or Principal level IC (individual contributor) role that reports to the Head of Product Research. You will lead individual projects and collaborate frequently with others, including a team of six multicultural researchers, product designers, product managers, and engineers.

You Will:

  • Co-lead product research on emerging markets, especially Mexico, India, and the Philippines
  • Inform the development of a new financial product through well-defined research methods that take advantage of a variety of data sources
  • Interpret findings about customers in emerging markets in actionable ways
  • Collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers throughout the whole product lifecycle of a 0-1 product
  • Create outputs that allow for scale (e.g., behavioral personas, customer journey maps, segmentation)
  • Triangulate your findings with other data sources
  • Contribute to team-wide research projects
  • Travel ~10% of your time

You Have:

  • 5+ years experience conducting research in industry, of which at least 2 years involve B2C international research in emerging markets (e.g., Mexico, India, or the Philippines)
  • A deep foundation in qualitative and quantitative research methods, including ethnography, surveys, analysis of secondary data, card sorting and tree sorting, prototype testing, user flow mapping, and accessibility testing
  • Expertise scoping, designing, and conducting end-to-end research projects of varying length and complexity
  • Expertise prioritizing and recognizing what will add highest value in developing a new product
  • Proficiency in English and in at least one other language, especially Spanish, Tagalog, or a major language in India

Compensation Details: The starting base pay for this position is typically $145,000 - $195,000. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
